Introducing Jochem Wolthuis
Deep Roots in German-Dutch Food Relations
Born to a Dutch father and German mother, Jochem’s passion for the German language and (food) culture was instilled early in life. Fluent in both German and Dutch, he has built a career on forging cross-border partnerships between companies and organizations. A strong commitment to long-term collaboration, cultural alignment, and sustainable trade growth marks his work.
Strategic Market Access and Food Innovation in Germany
As the former Agrofood Broker for Germany on behalf of Oost NL/GO4EXPORT, Jochem played a key role in promoting Dutch food innovations to German audiences—earning him the nickname “Bühnebouwer” (stage builder) for Dutch food brands in Germany. Today, he leads a cluster of Dutch companies active in the protein transition, supporting their expansion into the German market.
Leadership, Training, and Thought Leadership
Jochem is also deeply involved in education and knowledge-sharing. He conducts internal leadership training programs for German retail chains and regularly delivers keynotes and workshops on market strategy. His trade-focused book, “Duitsland schept op”, distills his decades of insight into a practical guide for market entry and growth.
Previously, as International Director of the Dutch Fruit and Vegetable Bureau (GroentenFruit Bureau), he developed several award-winning B2B and B2C campaigns for the German market.
Turning Trends into Tangible Business Opportunities
Jochem is known for translating food trends and consumer insights into actionable growth strategies. His expertise is invaluable for companies navigating the complexities of the German and Dutch food sectors. Whether you need a keynote speaker, workshop facilitator, or strategic consultant, Jochem brings deep knowledge, cultural fluency, and unmatched enthusiasm to every engagement.
